1.) Believe That Your Feelings Are Worthy

2.) Name Your Feelings

  • Build your emotional vocabulary

3.) Work Through Your Feelings

  • Find the root cause: Why are you feeling this way?

​

4.) Believe That Your Feelings Matter to Other People

  • When people care about you, they care about your well-being

​

5.) Use Your Own Point of View to Discuss Feelings

  • Instead of saying “You’re doing ____, and it’s making me feel ____,” try saying “I feel ____ when you ____.”
